How shipping costs are calculated
Our optimizer aims to provide competitive shipping costs based on the items in your cart. Our optimizer calculates the shipping cost based on various factors including, but not limited to:
- type of shipment (box, pallet, or container)
- quantity, size, and weight of each shipment
We may calculate the shipping cost based on a fixed percentage of the order value, and other times it may be free of charge.
We export on an ex-works basis, meaning our responsibility for the shipment content ends once we hand the parcel over to a shipping carrier.
We deliver shipments between the UK and EU on a delivered duty paid (DDP) basis. DDP means Qogita will cover all costs and import duties wherever appropriate.
To speed up the delivery of your goods, in case of imports, we try to prepay any applicable import and customs duties. Imports will not incur additional fees, all costs at checkout are final.
Important: Some carriers prefer to invoice the receiver of the goods, in such cases, you will be treated as the formal importer of the goods. In such cases, If you are required to pay any additional costs by the carriers, please pay them as soon as possible and we will reimburse you in full. This will speed up the delivery process.
Import - Goods Imported from other destinations to the EU and UK will not incur additional fees.
Export - We consolidate all shipments in our Netherlands or UK warehouse. You will need to contact and pay a local freight forwarder to pick up and handle the export process and documents for you. Due to the complexity of such export transactions, a minimum order value of €250K is required. All export transactions are executed on Ex-works terms.
Export documentation: We will provide your freight forwarder with a commercial invoice and HS codes statement, that is required for all export. Your freight forwarder should be able to take care of all the additional requirements. if any, to export the goods.
We typically split the delivery of your orders into multiple shipments, using various carriers.
Additional shipping costs
We may charge additional shipping costs in certain circumstances. Please see a non-exhaustive list:
- (Euro) Pallet shipments
- Full or partial shipping containers
