How does buying from the US work?
Qogita now delivers to buyers in the United States. We ship your order by air from our warehouse in the Netherlands straight to your address, with shipping, customs and tariffs already covered in the price you paid. Nothing to clear, nothing to pay on arrival.
US orders work a little differently from EU and UK orders. Rather than checking out on the platform, you work with a dedicated account manager who places the order for you.
Two ways to buy
We deliver to you. We ship your order by air from our warehouse in the Netherlands to your address in the US. Shipping, customs and tariffs are included in the price you see, and there is nothing to pay on arrival. This is the route most US buyers use, and the one described in the rest of this article.
You collect from our warehouse. If you already work with a freight forwarder, you can arrange collection from our warehouse in the Netherlands and import the goods yourself. Pricing, paperwork and delivery times all work differently on this route. See What is FCA and how does it work? and What is EXW and how does it work?
Not sure which fits your business? Your account manager will talk it through with you.
How delivery works
- Sign up at qogita.com. Registration is the same as for any other buyer.
- An account manager gets in touch by email. They are your point of contact from here on.
- Build your order together. Browse the full catalogue and add products to your cart as normal. Your account manager confirms which products can be imported into the US and helps you finalise the order.
- Share your company details. We need your EIN, your US Tax ID, and a resale certificate before we can place the order. To learn what these are and why we need them, visit our guide: Tariffs and customs on US orders.
- Receive your proforma invoice. Your account manager creates the order and sends you a proforma with the full amount due in US dollars.
- Pay by bank transfer. Once your payment reaches us, your order is confirmed and goes to our suppliers. For payment details, see our guide: Paying for a US order.
- Your goods are delivered. Shipped by air, delivered duty paid to the address you gave us.
How long it takes
Around 2 weeks from payment to delivery. That covers supplier dispatch, consolidation at our warehouse in the Netherlands, air freight to the US, and customs clearance.
Delivery costs the same wherever you are in the United States. There is no price difference between coasts or regions.
Collection orders run to different timelines. Your account manager will confirm them.
