I have a VAT number; why do you say it is not valid?
To troubleshoot why your VAT is not being accepted by the website, please consider the following reasons:
Is your VAT validated on the VIES Portal?
For our website to be able to accept your VAT number, it has to be valid on the VIES Portal.
Since we collaborate with sellers throughout the EU having a local VAT number is not sufficient for placing orders via Qogita within the EU.
If your VAT is not valid on the VIES portal, we recommend reaching out to a tax advisor for guidance on how to get your number registered in the VIES.
If your VAT number is valid on the VIES Portal and you are facing this error with our website, please reach out to an agent through our live chat feature. Explain the issue and a human agent will investigate the matter.
Is your VAT formatted correctly?
When inserting your VAT number, remember you need to include the country code at the start. For example, if you are from Spain, ensure the VAT starts with 'ES' and matches the format required for Spain.
⚠️ Also ensure there are no spaces between the country code and the numerical digits.
Does your VAT match your company registration details?
The company name you insert in the signup form must exactly match the one linked to your VAT number in the VIES portal. Please verify that the company details you entered matches the VIES record.
If your VAT number shows as valid, but you are unable to place orders, please contact support@qogita.com.
