How do tariffs and customs work on US orders?

The price you see is the price you pay. Shipping, customs duties and tariffs are all included in the price shown for US delivery. There are no separate charges at checkout, and nothing to pay when your goods arrive.

What's included in the price

Every US price on the platform is a single all-in figure covering:

  • The product itself, delivered to our warehouse in the Netherlands
  • Air freight from the Netherlands to your address in the US, at a flat rate wherever you are
  • US import tariffs and customs duties

Customs clearance

Your order ships DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). DHL handles the customs paperwork and deals with us directly. You file nothing, and you pay nothing when your goods arrive.

You do not need a freight forwarder or a customs broker. The only number we need from you is your EIN.

⚠️ If you receive a request to pay customs charges or duties on a Qogita order delivered to the US, email support@qogita.com and we will help resolve it.

Your EIN

Your EIN (Employer Identification Number) is both the tax ID and the customs ID we use for your orders. It identifies your business to US Customs and appears on the import documentation, so we cannot ship without it.

Sales tax and your resale certificate

Because you buy goods to resell rather than to use, you are not liable for sales tax on the purchase. Sales tax is collected from the end consumer when you sell the goods on.

To apply this, we need a valid resale certificate on file for your business. Without one, sales tax is added to your invoice. Your account manager collects this alongside your EIN.

Documents you receive

  • Proforma invoice: sent by your account manager before payment, showing the full amount due.
  • Commercial invoice: issued once your order is confirmed. Use it for your own records and, if you resell on marketplaces, to prove chain of supply.
  • Packing list: ships with your goods.

Product eligibility

Some product categories cannot be imported into the US, or need extra documentation, because of FDA and EPA rules. Your account manager confirms eligibility for everything in your order before it is placed, so you know before you commit.
