Understanding Multipacks; trust the GTIN, not the Image

⚠️ Product images on Qogita are for representation only.

⚠️ Buyers should not assume multipack bundling unless explicitly stated for manufactured multipacks (which have their own unique GTIN, and are clearly multipacks)

⚠️ Always double check the GTIN before ordering a product. The GTIN is the source of truth identifier you should go off when purchasing a product.

If the GTIN shows a single unit, but the image and or description show a multipack bundle, you will receive a single item.

Why are Qogita pictures incorrect sometimes?

Qogita and other platforms, including EAN checkers, often pull product images and descriptions from Amazon.

However, sometimes Amazon sellers bundle multiple units of a single item GTIN into one listing to improve that listing. As a result, sometimes the Amazon image and description data pulled for a single item GTIN can show a picture of a bundled multipack.

What does Qogita recommend?

We always recommend to check the GTIN, and if the GTIN is clearly a manufacturer multipack, then you can assume it will contain multiple units. If it doesn’t, then that would be the supplier at fault.

A manufacturer multipack is a pre-packaged set where the manufacturer combines multiple individual units into one pack and assigns it a unique GTIN (Global Trade Item Number). This multipack is treated as a single unit of a product.

If its not clearly a manufactured multipack, expect that the price is for one unit only - and you should expect to receive one unit only.

We recommend using a GTIN scanner to check such as Scanbot.io: https://scanbot.io/lookup-tool/
