What is FCA and how does it work?
FCA stands for Free Carrier, an international trade term (Incoterm) that defines the point at which responsibility transfers from Qogita to you.
Under FCA, Qogita delivers goods to your nominated carrier at our Netherlands warehouse and handles the Dutch export declaration. From that point, all responsibility passes to you.
What Qogita provides
- Goods ready for collection at our Netherlands warehouse
-
Commercial invoice
-
Packing list
-
Collection slot confirmation
-
Dutch export declaration (filed by Qogita on your behalf)
-
Movement Reference Number (MRN) — retained by Qogita for VAT purposes
You are responsible for:
-
Appointing a freight forwarder or carrier to collect goods from our warehouse
- Arranging and paying for international freight to your country
- Handling customs clearance and import duties at your destination
-
Ensuring goods meet local rules in your country, including: registration, labelling and expiry requirements
-
Obtaining all documentation required to import goods into your destination country, see below
-
Cooperating with Qogita to confirm goods have physically left the EU, including providing carrier documentation within 24 hours
What Qogita cannot provide:
- Certificates of Origin
-
EUR.1, A.TR
- Certificates of Free Sale
- Certificates of Conformity
- Declarations of Conformity
- Halal Certificates
- Any other destination-specific documentation
If you have specific requirements; such as batch codes, expiry dates or language requirements, you must inform Qogita prior to placing your order. We will discuss what is feasible but cannot guarantee provision.
Before placing an FCA order, you will need:
- A freight forwarder or nominated carrier with experience in Netherlands collections
-
Clarity on the documentation and import compliance requirements for your destination country
-
Note: you do not need an EORI number for the export step as Qogita handles this
- Qogita advises a minimum order of €5000 for FCA collections.
Dangerous goods
Some products on Qogita are classified as dangerous goods (aerosols, flammables, certain HBC items). If your order includes DG-classified items, additional documentation and restrictions may apply depending on your chosen shipping mode. Any requirements must be discussed with your Qogita representative prior to ordering.
